New paper published

We are pleased to announce a new academic publication in the British Journal of Occupational Therapy. The research was a survey of families of children with cerebral palsy to ascertain the potential of using commercial games consoles as a therapy intervention to improve movement ability and balance skills. The study showed that there is wide ownership of commercial games consoles and experience and interest in using them as part of therapy programmes. This provides some evidence of the credibility and acceptability to families of using active console games therapeutically.

The study was led by Dr Will Farr at Sussex Community NHS Trust. It is part of a project funded by the NIHR Research for Patient Benefit programme.
