How we are funded

Cerebra is a UK charity that aims to improve the lives of children and young people with brain-related and other neurological conditions. The Peninsula Cerebra Research Unit is one of five academic centres to receive funding from the Cerebra charity.

The charitable funding from Cerebra supports the core activities of the research unit, principally building partnerships with local families and service providers, identifying issues and research questions and reviewing the evidence, and then designing research studies to address these questions. For major research projects we require additional funding for which we apply to schemes operated by the National Institute for Health Research and other public and charitable agencies that fund research.

The Peninsula Cerebra Research Unit is an independent academic research unit based at the University of Exeter. The views and opinions expressed by the Peninsula Cerebra Research Unit do not necessarily represent the views of the Cerebra charity.
